Find Pawnee Release Dates

A Pawnee County release date lookup begins with the person’s actual custodian and sentence type. A county-jail detainee may have no fixed date because bond, court orders, holds, or a pending case control departure. A sentenced state prisoner may have several official dates, each with a different meaning. The projected date can change before release. Finding when someone will be released therefore requires the jail or court for local custody, and the state corrections offender search for a resident of Larned State Correctional Facility or another Kansas prison.

Pawnee Scheduled Versus Actual Release

A projected, scheduled, or calculated date is an estimate based on the controlling sentence record and credits known at that time. The actual release is the movement recorded when custody ends or changes. Those events may differ. Jail credit, earned credit, disciplinary forfeiture, consecutive sentences, amended orders, detainers, and recalculation can all move the estimate.

Read the label exactly. Kansas sources distinguish guidelines release, parole eligibility, conditional release, maximum date, and sentence discharge. Eligibility permits consideration. It does not promise departure on that day.

The current KASPER workflow uses reCAPTCHA, and the research did not bypass it to inspect a live individual record. An exact field named “Projected Release Date” or “Tentative Release Date” is therefore not verified as of July 18, 2026. Never substitute a guessed label. Capture the field from the lawful live result and preserve its wording.

Find a Pawnee Release Date

First determine whether the person is at Pawnee County Jail or in KDOC custody. The systems are separate despite the jail and LSCF both being in Larned. Use the KDOC number when available because it is more precise than a name.

  1. For Pawnee County Jail, call 620-285-2211 and identify the custody episode. Ask whether a court-set or sentence-completion date exists.
  2. Review the Pawnee District Court chronology for bond, sentence, jail credit, revocation, and later orders through the official court records guide.
  3. For KDOC custody, open KASPER, accept the disclaimer, and search by KDOC number or exact name.
  4. Read status before dates. Compare every displayed date label with the sentence type.
  5. Confirm the current computation with the custodian before relying on it.

A pretrial detainee generally has no calculated prison-release date. Bond may authorize release, but a second case or hold can prevent departure. A county sentence may end after time served or sentence completion, yet the sheriff transaction remains the best proof of the actual exit time.

KASPER Pawnee Date Search

KASPER is the Kansas Adult Supervised Population Electronic Repository. Its filters include name, alias, KDOC number, KBI number, birth date, age range, conviction county, parole county, community-corrections location, facility, and supervision type. Pawnee as conviction county does not mean the person lives there or will be released there.

The KDOC sentence and release glossary shows why each date label must be read according to its own definition.

KDOC glossary for Pawnee County projected release date terms

The glossary separates release, supervision, and sentence concepts that a single projected-date estimate can otherwise blur.

Status or date How to read it
Inmate Current KDOC custody, even if the county-jail episode ended.
Parole Release from prison with continued KDOC supervision.
Discharged An ended state-system episode, subject to the official record.
Parole eligibility A date for possible consideration, not promised release.
Conditional release A statutory release point for certain indeterminate sentences.
Maximum or discharge A later endpoint than release from a prison cell to supervision.

KASPER updates each working day. A status can change between its update and viewing. The repository also has a post-April 21, 2021 gap for community-corrections probation events, so direct agency confirmation may be required after a release to that form of supervision.

Kansas Credits Shape Release Dates

Kansas’s “85 percent” shorthand is incomplete. Under K.S.A. 21-6821, some severity levels and categories use a maximum credit of 15 percent, while qualifying lower-severity categories may use 20 percent. The maximum available credit is not automatically earned. Rules can differ for indeterminate, life, off-grid, and older offense-date sentences.

Credit affects the prison portion of a sentence and can move a person into postrelease supervision rather than erase the rest of the sentence. KDOC awards and administers credits under the controlling statutes and policies. A simple arithmetic calculator cannot account for sentence structure, jail credit, forfeiture, restored credit, amended journal entries, or multiple cases.

Good time
Credit administered under sentence rules that may reduce time in prison.
Jail credit
Time a court credits toward the sentence for qualifying prior confinement.
Postrelease supervision
Supervision after the prison portion of a determinate sentence.
Detainer
A notice that another authority may seek custody, affecting the actual destination.

Why Pawnee Release Dates Move

No single factor should be read outside the full sentence and custody record. These are the main documented reasons a displayed estimate may change.

Factor Possible effect
Earned credit May advance the calculated prison-release point within applicable limits.
Credit forfeiture May delay the projected date after discipline.
Jail credit Can alter time remaining when entered or corrected by the court.
Consecutive sentences One term follows another and changes the overall computation.
Amended court order A corrected sentence or journal entry can require recalculation.
Hold or detainer May turn departure from one facility into continued custody elsewhere.
Parole decision For an eligible sentence, the Board may parole, continue, or pass the matter.

The Kansas Prisoner Review Board process explains that parole consideration is not a guaranteed date. “Continue” sets later consideration, while “Pass” can require stated conditions or time before another review. The exact decision and sentence control.

Pawnee Jail Date Limits

No Pawnee County Jail good-time policy, weekend-release practice, release-processing schedule, or fixed exit procedure was verified in the official sources as of July 18, 2026. Do not import another Kansas county’s practice. Call the jail and ask whether the date is court-set, a sentence-completion estimate, or merely an expected processing day.

The sheriff operates a 16-bed jail and reports an average population near 11 with occasional peaks of 20. Those are occupancy figures, not release-date statistics. The county publishes no current roster or recent-release feed. A request for the existing jail-register entry should identify the person, booking episode, admission time, expected or actual departure, release authority, destination, and hold disposition.

Confirm Pawnee Actual Release

For a county case, pair the sheriff’s movement transaction with the court register. The court may show bond, dismissal, judgment, jail credit, or sentence satisfaction. The sheriff proves whether and when the person physically left, and whether the destination was the community or another custodian.

For state custody, pair KASPER with KDOC or a Prisoner Review Board certificate or office confirmation. A Parole status means the person left prison but remains supervised. Discharged describes a different endpoint. Register through the VINE Inmate Check only for a matched participating county-jail record, not an LSCF resident. The broader Pawnee County released-inmate search compares all custody routes.

Pawnee’s 15 and 20 Percent Rules

The local long-tail question is often framed as “Does a Kansas inmate serve 85 percent?” The accurate answer is that 85 percent follows only when the governing category allows no more than 15 percent credit and all applicable credit is earned and retained. Qualifying lower-severity categories can use a 20 percent maximum, producing a different calculation. Older law, life terms, off-grid crimes, and offense-date rules require separate analysis.

Earned time may also shift part of the sentence into supervision. That is release from prison, not necessarily final discharge. Confirm the sentence date, severity category, controlling statute, credit record, and all consecutive terms with KDOC. Do not present an individualized prediction from public fragments.

Build the Pawnee Date Record

A reliable date record starts with the filed journal entry. Record the offense date, sentence date, each count, whether terms run concurrently or consecutively, and the court’s jail-credit award. Then compare KDOC’s computation and current status. The initial charge label cannot supply those facts. A later amended journal entry can change the computation, so use the most recent controlling order rather than the first sentence summary found.

Keep separate dates for prison release, supervision start, maximum sentence, and final discharge. Parole is release from prison on an indeterminate sentence under Board conditions. Postrelease supervision follows the prison portion of a determinate guidelines sentence. Conditional release applies to certain indeterminate terms. Discharge ends the applicable state episode. Treating each as the same date hides the part of the sentence still in force.

KDOC records also require the right identity. Match the KDOC number, name, birth information lawfully displayed, conviction county, and facility history. Pawnee as conviction county is only a filter. It does not prove present residence, supervision county, or planned release destination. When the person moved through LSCF, search the former Larned Correctional Mental Health Facility name in older sources as well.

Kansas Credit Date Details

K.S.A. 21-6821 sets different maximum earned-credit percentages for covered categories. A 15 percent maximum can lead to the familiar 85 percent shorthand, but only when that category controls and the full credit is earned and retained. Some qualifying lower-severity categories allow 20 percent. Indeterminate, life, off-grid, and older offense-date sentences require different rules. A percentage alone cannot produce a lawful individual release date.

Credit may be earned, forfeited after discipline, restored, or recalculated. Program credit and jail credit are not interchangeable. Jail credit comes from the court’s treatment of qualifying confinement, while KDOC administers sentence credits under governing law and policy. Consecutive terms, a corrected order, or a detainer can change the practical outcome even when one displayed component stays the same.

Release to supervision does not mean the sentence vanished. Earned time may move a person from prison into a supervised phase. Confirm reporting instructions with KDOC Parole Services. Great Bend serves Pawnee parole cases, while Pawnee Community Corrections is a separate channel for applicable court-linked supervision. KASPER’s probation-data gap after April 21, 2021 makes direct office verification especially important.

Request Pawnee Date Records

For a county-jail episode, ask the sheriff for the existing admission, sentence-completion estimate if recorded, actual departure timestamp, authority, destination, and hold disposition. Pair that response with the court register. No Pawnee jail good-time, weekend-release, or holiday-processing policy was verified, so do not borrow another county’s rule or promise an early release day.

For state custody, provide the KDOC number and request the public movement, release, or discharge certificate that answers the specific question. If parole consideration is involved, identify the hearing month and request the Board outcome. The Board can parole, continue consideration, or pass the matter subject to stated conditions or time. Eligibility is not a promise that release will occur.

Keep the source date and exact field label with every public search result. KASPER updates each working day, not continuously. A screenshot can document what appeared at one moment, while KDOC confirmation establishes the current computation. If a field appears inaccurate, direct the correction to KDOC at kdoc_pub@ks.gov rather than asking the sheriff to change a state record.
